A collection of 19th and early 20th century medals and ephemera relating to the Rhodes family and its membership of the Worshipful Company of Cutlers, including three gold masters' neck badges/medals, comprising one to 'James Alfred Rhodes, Livery 18 Octr 1865, Assistant 18 Jany 1893, Master 5 July 1899', bearing 'Master 1899' clasp, one to 'James Rhodes, Livery 20 Oct 1823, Assistant 16 Nov 1859, Master 6 July 1864 and 16 Feb 1870', and one to 'Arthur Elliot Rhodes, Livery 19th August 1891, Assistant 16th March 1927', bearing 'Master 1930' clasp, all within original fitted cases, a group of silver livery medals, comprising a George III example to 'Saml. Rhodes, Livery Dec 20th 1804', London 1802 by John Bassingwhite, obverse engraved and chased with the Company's elephant emblem, a similar George III example to 'James Rhodes, Livery Octr 20th 1823', London 1822 by George Turner, and seven others to Charles Rhodes, Percival Rhodes, Arthur Elliot Rhodes, James Rhodes and James Alfred Rhodes, all within original fitted cases, and various related paperwork, letters and photographs.
