(Toning, occasional browning, provenance in manuscript verso front-free endpaper.) Near contemporary full calf by W. Nutt, gilt borders, floral gilt to the spine compartments, red morocco lettering piece to the spine, g.e. (lightly rubbed extremities). Provenance: Archibald Acheson, Earl of Gosford (ink note verso front-free endpaper); Henry A. Johnston (ink inscribed initial blank); Henry Lewis Edwards (name-plate to front pastedown).
