Double-paged engraved title by Le Charpentier, double-paged engraved ‘Avertissement de l’ Auteur’, 7 double-paged engraved diagrams and 39 double-paged engraved maps with hand-colouring. (Toning, minor soiling to margin of ‘Italy’, staining to one diagram, occasional marginal spotting or finger-mark, small crease tears to two diagram plates, two diagram plates paper backed.) Near contemporary calf-backed marbled paper-covered boards (extremities heavily rubbed).
