ASIA. – Henry YULE. The Book of Ser Marco Polo, the Venetian, Concerning the Kingdoms and Marvels of the East. London: John Murray, 1875. Second edition, revised, 8vo (233 x 144mm.) Frontispieces, additional pictorial titles, 16 maps, several folding and coloured and one with bound-in overlap, 12 plates, several folding, ‘Additional Corrigena’ slip bound-in. (Toning, occasional marginal spotting and corner crease, spotting verso preliminaries, uncut leaves.) Original cloth, gilt to spine and upper covers (circular stain to upper cover of vol. 1, lightly bumped extremities). Provenance: ‘Mr. Villiers-Maylas(?)’ (pencil inscribed verso frontispiece of vol. 1) (2).
