A rare Rolex Prince Observatory black enamelled and nickel cased gentleman's purse/pocket watch, Ref. 1563, circa 1939, the signed and jewelled manual wind movement numbered '77428' and detailed 'Officially Tested in Eight Ways 17 Rubies', the silvered rectangular dial with black Arabic numeral and baton hour markers above subsidiary seconds dial, detailed 'Observatory Rolex Prince Swiss Made', the inner case back numbered '2322' above '1563', the outer case interior signed 'Rolex 25 World Records Geneva-Suisse' above 'SAR', patent details and numbers '2299' and '1563', the rounded rectangular case with black enamelled decoration and suspension loop to one corner, length 4cm.
