A First World War period silver circular Borgel cased officer's trench wristwatch, the jewelled lever movement detailed 'S & Co' (Stauffer Son & Co), 'Peerless' and numbered '643621', the unsigned black dial with luminous Arabic hour numerals and subsidiary seconds, the case back detailed 'Col. C. Somers Clarke', the case interior with 'F.B' (Francis Borgel) case maker's mark, 'C.N' (Charles Nicolet) sponsor's mark and numbered '701031', import mark London 1916, case diameter 3.3cm.
