A mid-19th century gold and blue enamelled oval Meissen porcelain brooch, painted with a scene of a hilltop castle with figures in the foreground, possibly Albrechtsburg Castle, the mount with engraved scrollwork decoration alternating with blue enamelled 'S' scrolls, underglaze blue crossed swords to back, weight 42.8g, width 8cm.
