A Chinese export silver mounted hongmu rectangular inkstand, late Qing dynasty, the hardwood stand finely carved with a beaded and foliate border above a carved and pierced apron of fish, waves and lotus with silver mounted corners and shield cartouche, the centre surmounted by a dragon-form pen rest, flanked by a pair of cut glass inkwells with silver covers, length 28.5cm.
