A Japanese Komai style damascened iron octagonal box and hinged cover, Meiji period, the top finely worked with a scene of a temple and pavilions amidst woodland, the sides with birds, flowers, butterflies, ho-o birds, dragon and landscapes, gilt Fuji mark to base, width 5.5cm.
