MORRIS, Ethel Jackson. The White Butterfly and Other Fairy Tales. Melbourne: C.J. Degaris, 1921. First edition, 4to (269 x 214mm.) 11 tipped-in colour plates by the author. (Browning to half-title, corner loss to pp.33-34, strong offsetting from previously inserted plant to p.63, light spotting to preliminaries.) Original tan pictorial cloth (minor bumps to extremities). Note: Ethel Jackson Morris published her first book for children in 1909, at the age of seventeen. After publishing ‘The White Butterfly’ in 1921, her second book, she travelled to Europe and began studying at the Royal Academy of Arts.
