London: John Murray, 1853. 3 vols., 8vo (216 x 132mm.) 3 lithographic frontispieces, folding map of St. Helena in front pocket of vol. 1. (Spotting to preliminaries and offsetting to titles.) Contemporary half calf over marbled paper-covered boards, gilt lettering to spines (rebacked, rubbing to covers). Provenance: Viscount Birkenhead, M.P. and Lord Chancellor (armorial bookplates to front pastedowns) (3).
