INDIA. – Walter SCOTT. Edinburgh: Archibald Constable & Co., 1822. 8 vols., 8vo (166 x 97mm.) Half-titles, engraved portrait frontispiece. (Mild toning.) Late 19th century red full straight-grain morocco, gilt ruled, gilt corner-pieces, g.e. (extremities rubbed, upper joint of vol. 2 splitting). Provenance: by descent, from the estate of Frederic Thesiger, Lieutenant General, Viceroy and Governor-General of India 1961-21 (8).
