Half-titles, 4 engraved plates, 72 lithographed plates, including numerous menus. (Heavy spotting to preliminaries of vol. 1, light scattered spotting.) Contemporary maroon half morocco, gilt ruled (lightly rubbed). Note: Albert Stempfer served on the Victoria & Albert yacht as Chef de Cuisine to King Edward VII during the cruises of 1909-13. Provenance: Albert Stempfer (gilt name to base of spines) (2).
