The History and Antiquities of the County of Surrey; compiled From the Best and Most Authentic Historians, Valuable Records, and Manuscripts in the Public Offices and Libraries, and in Private Hands. London: for John White by John Nichols and Son, 1804-1814. 3 vols., folio (432 x 256mm.) 79 engraved plates (including 13 facsimile Domesday plates), 2 folding maps, 13 folding genealogical trees. (Occasional light spotting, blanks replaced to vol. 3, some creasing to maps.) Contemporary half calf, red morocco lettering pieces to the spines (lower cover detached from vol. 1, upper cover loosened, rebacked, extremities rubbed, endpapers replaced to vol. 3). – And a small quantity of miscellaneous manuscript material, and a further two volumes (John and Josiah Boydell’s ‘An History of the River Thames’, 2 vols., 1794-1796, [lacking plates], 4to) (small quantity).
