Gevase Spencer - 'Lady S'Aubyn', a mid-18th century watercolour on ivory oval portrait miniature of Lady S'Aubyn wearing a lace-trimmed blue dress, initialled and dated, the yellow metal mount inscribed to reverse 'Lady S'Aubyn 1757', 3.4cm x 3.3cm, together with a Georgian red leather case. Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of this item.
