A fine 18ct gold half-hunting cased keyless wind gentleman's pocket watch with jewelled gilt movement, the backplate signed 'Chas Frodsham. 27 South Molton St London 'AD FMSZ, by appointment to the King', with two engraved crowned awards and numbered '09962', the signed enamelled dial with black Roman hour numerals and subsidiary seconds, the case front with black Roman hour numerals, London 1925, total weight 153.4g, case diameter 5.4cm. Note: Charles Frodsham (1810-1871), the celebrated English horologist, established the firm of Charles Frodsham & Co, which remains the longest continuously trading firm of chronometer manufacturers in the world.
