A rare Victorian silver cased Burdess patent keyless wind open-faced gentleman's pocket watch, the gilt jewelled fusee movement with lever and ratchet winding mechanism and milled wheel at 1 o'clock to facilitate hand setting, the backplate detailed 'A. Burdess Coventry Patent' and numbered '3023', the gilt metal dust cover with pierced slot to accommodate the winding lever, the white enamelled dial with black Roman hour numerals and subsidiary seconds, the case back with engine turned decoration, London 1869, total weight 123.5g, case diameter 5cm.
