A George III silver rectangular snuff box with engine turned banded decoration, the hinged lid interior presentation inscribed 'To Capt William Blaine of the Brig Recovery of Shields in grateful remembrance of his humanity on the 15 Oct 1820 from Rd Alridge, T.J Culliford, F.W Appath, C. Snooke', Birmingham 1820 by John Shaw, weight 91.7g, length 7.8cm.
