An 18ct gold and amethyst intaglio pendant seal, the marquise shaped intaglio carved with the crest of the Archbishopric of Cape Town, unmarked, length 3.5cm. Note: the carved intaglio is believed to have belonged to Reverend Francis Robinson Phelps (1863-1938).
