A late 19th century brown leather despatch box, embossed to the hinged lid 'His Excellency The Governor', the interior lined in hardwood, width 48cm. Note: this box was purportedly the despatch box for Admiral Sir Harry Holdsworth Rawson, who was appointed Governor of New South Wales, Australia, in 1902.
