POTTER, Beatrix. The Tale of Timmy Tiptoes. London: Frederick Warne and Co., 1911. First edition, 16mo (138 x 102mm.) 27 colour plates. (Small corner loss to frontispiece, gift inscribed on half-title, frontispiece loosening.) Original brown boards with oval onlay to upper cover (spine seam splitting). – And a further nineteen volumes of children’s literature, mostly early Beatrix Potter reprints (including ‘The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle’, [circa 1910], [lacking front-free endpaper], 16mo, and ‘Appley Dapply’s Nursery Rhymes’, [1917], [lacking frontispiece], 16mo) (20).
