An early Victorian gold, banded agate and black enamelled shaped oval mourning brooch, the back glazed with a hair locket compartment and engraved ‘William Anthony Obt May 24 1824’ and ‘Hannah Anthony Obt March 9.1854’, unmarked, weight 32.9g, width 4.8cm (one of four motifs missing from the front).
