A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase by Ryuzan, Meiji period, of shouldered tapering form, painted and gilt with opposing panels of samurai and bijin in landscapes, reserved against a dark blue ground filled with gilt cell diaper and floral borders, iron red and gilt signature seal to base, height 31cm.
