A pair of Japanese Fukagawa Koransha Imari black ground porcelain cylinder vases, Meiji period, each painted and gilt with a samurai standing before bamboo and blossoming prunus branches on a black ground, within iron red ground borders filled with flowers and tendrils, iron red enamelled factory mark to bases, height 30.3cm (handles restored and one damaged).
