A Chinese porcelain hu-shaped vase, mark of Qianlong but Republic period, the pear-shaped body painted in iron red, grey, black and gilt with a figural scene of Shoulao, deer and attendants opposing lines of black text and three iron red and gilt seals, within ruyi-head, geometric and foliate borders, iron red and gilt four-character mark to base, height 36.8cm (chip to rim).
