Two Japanese blue and white porcelain jars by Makuzu Kozan, Meiji period, each of compressed lobed circular form on short feet, one painted with ho-o bird and simulated brocade panels, the other with panels of characters and simulated brocade, underglaze blue four-character mark to bases, heights 4.5cm and 4.7cm (one cracked), each fitted with a hardwood cover.
