A Japanese Imari porcelain dish, Meiji period, moulded in the form of Murasaki Shikibu, novelist, poet and lady-in-waiting at the Imperial Court in the Heian period, the underside with underglaze blue flowers and scrolling tendrils, length 22.5cm, together with a Kutani porcelain teapot and cover, Meiji period, decorated with gilt ho-o birds, flowers, vapours and precious objects on an iron red ground, height 12cm (repaired).
