A near pair of Chinese mother-of-pearl inlaid hardwood rectangular boxes, late Qing dynasty, each cover inset with a sectional and incised mother-of-pearl panel, one depicting two figures in a landscape, the other depicting a pavilion and fenced garden, the sides inlaid with flower sprays, lengths 11.8cm and 11.9cm, together with a similarly decorated mother-of-pearl and hardwood rectangular tray, inlaid with an eagle perched on a blossoming prunus branch, length 30cm (some mother-of-pearl loss).
