LOT 450
A Charles II silver gilt three-piece cutlery set, comprising trefid spoon and fork and a knife with cylindrical tapered cannon handle and later blade, each piece with finely engraved foliate decoration, crowned 'TT' mark to each handle, possibly that of Thomas Townley London circa 1680, length of spoon 18.5cm, total weight 137.6g. Note: see page 146 of Jackson's 'English Silversmiths and their Marks', second edition, for an illustration of the unascribed maker's mark.
