An early 19th century French Empire green/brown patinated bronze and ormolu inkwell, the hinged lid modelled in relief with a sleeping putto, opening to reveal a well and stamp compartment, the base in the form of a cradle, on a black slate base, length 18.5cm. Provenance: from the estate of a Sussex gentleman.
