A Chinese hardwood and silk embroidered table screen and stand, late Qing dynasty, the embroidered panel finely worked in coloured threads with a cockerel surrounded by other birds, trees and flowers, two lines of stitched black text and two red seal marks to upper left corner, the rectangular frame inlaid with mother-of-pearl lotus flowers and brass scrolling tendrils, the slotted stand with similarly inlaid decoration, on carved recumbent Buddhistic lion feet, height 78.5cm, width 61cm.
