Two Chinese silk embroidered military-style rank badges, second and third ranks, 20th century, each worked in coloured threads, one with a Buddhistic lion amidst bats, vapours and precious objects above crashing waves on a black ground, the other with a leopard on a similarly decorated ground, 25cm x 27.5cm, framed and glazed. Provenance: the property of a West Sussex lady collector.
