An early 18th century miniature toy silver fire grate with arched back and pierced grate, flanked by a pair of integral conical fire dogs, together with matching shovel and tongs, London circa 1725 by David Clayton, variously marked with 'DC' maker's mark and lion passant mark, height of grate 10.8cm, total weight 110.3g. Provenance: the private collection of the late Guy and Sylvia Watkins.
