An 18th/19th century oval portrait miniature watercolour on ivory depicting a half-length portrait of a lady, the reverse inscribed in pen 'Lady Douglas Dutchefs of Hamilton', bearing signature 'R. Cosway 1787', 9cm x 7.3cm, within a brass beaded frame. Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of this lot.
