A George II miniature toy silver gilt kettle, the globular body and cover finely engraved with foliate scrolls, beneath an overhead turned ivory swing handle, London 1738 by David Clayton, weight 47.5g, height 7cm. Provenance: the private collection of the late Guy and Sylvia Watkins. Christie's Hadad Collection, 5th December 2000, Lot 235, purchased from The Old Corkscrew in Franschoek, South Africa. Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of this lot.
