LOT 305
A late 17th century miniature toy silver inkstand, fitted with a central integral candle holder, cylindrical pot and cover and rectangular box with foliate engraved hinged lid, flanked by an inkwell and removable pounce pot, on a shaped base and three ball feet, unmarked but probably London by George Manjoy, weight 49g, width 6.8cm. Provenance: the private collection of the late Guy and Sylvia Watkins. Note: for a similar inkstand, see 'Miniature Silver Toys' by Victor Houart, Illustration 189.
