A mid-18th century Dutch miniature toy silver chafing dish with shaped rim, on three scroll feet, fitted with a turned wooden handle, Amsterdam 1742 by Willem van Strant, weight 15.8g, length 9.1cm. Provenance: the private collection of the late Guy and Sylvia Watkins, purchased from The Old Corkscrew in Franschoek, South Africa.
