A George III satin birch and chequer banded paper scroll tea caddy of hexagonal form, each glazed panel enclosing floral sprays and a pair of printed oval portrait reserves, bearing initials 'M.D' and dated '1796', width 18.5cm. Provenance: from the private collection of the West Sussex art dealer, collector and specialist in 20th century British Art, the late Ian McVitie Weston.
