A George IV turned oak circular snuff box, the base with an inset white metal plaque detailed 'Turn'd by C. Hatton, Newbury', the lid detailed 'This Box Formed Part of the Town Hall Newbury Built 1615 Taken Down 1827', diameter 9.5cm, together with another turned hardwood oval snuff box. Provenance: from the private collection of the West Sussex art dealer, collector and specialist in 20th century British Art, the late Ian McVitie Weston.
