A George III needlework sampler by M. Steeks, dated 1778, finely worked in coloured silks with a central manor house with figure, flanked by rabbits and plants, the upper half with two bands of flowering plants, 31.5cm x 35.5cm, framed. Provenance: from the private collection of the West Sussex art dealer, collector and specialist in 20th century British Art, the late Ian McVitie Weston.
