An Art Deco Cartier London stainless steel rectangular cased lady's wristwatch, circa 1934, the LeCoultre Co jewelled movement numbered '49724', the signed rectangular silvered dial with black Roman hour numerals, the rectangular case with triple bar bracelet mounts, the case back interior numbered '6091', the case back detailed 'Staybrite' and numbered '9049', case width 1.4cm, case length 3cm, on a black cord strap, accompanied by a facsimile copy of a Cartier valuation for insurance, dated 23rd October 1997, and a facsimile photograph of Kenneth Forbes working at Cartier London, which was featured in the Cartier book. Provenance: formerly the property of Kenneth Forbes, who worked at Cartier London during the 1930s. This watch was gifted to his wife while he was employed there and thence by descent.
