A Chinese Canton export silver goblet by Hoaching, the 'U' shaped bowl decorated in relief with dense bamboo beneath a simulated bamboo rim, applied with a shield shaped plaque inscribed 'Celestial Cup won by Magir 19 June 1866', raised on a simulated bamboo stem and a circular foot, maker's mark of Hoaching to rim of foot, height 18.8cm, weight 338.7g, within a silk lined fitted case, the sliding cover with applied Hoaching paper label.
