London: printed for J. Clarke, 1740. 12mo (142 x 82mm.) Engraved frontispiece. (Some paper reinforcement to frontispiece and to several leaves.) Note: Copac suggests the book is often wrongly attributed to Charles de Fieux, Chevalier de Mouhy, but more likely to be by 'Richard Head'. - And thirteen volumes, mostly miniature books. (Some browning, a tipped-in bookseller description to verso of endpaper of vol. 1). 18th century mottled calf, the spine in five compartments with raised bands, lettering pieces to the second and fourth compartments, the others with repeat decoration in gilt (minor loss to spine ends). - And two volumes of late 17th and early 18th century Italian verse. Contemporary red morocco with extensive gilt dentelles within line and repeating borders, morocco lettering piece to the spine, gilt turn-ins, g.e. (rubbing to extremities).
