Numerous woodcut illustrations in the text, index and 2pp. publisher's advertisements to rear, advertisement for 'Swinborne's Patent Refined Isinglass' mounted to front and rear pastedowns. (Spotting to front and rear endpapers, toning.) Title in red and black, 5pp. text including 3pp. preface by Feyerabend, 131 woodcut illustrations by Amman after Johann Melchior Bocksperger, colophon to rear, additional plate from a later printing inserted at C2, another at G2. (Paper repair to title, the word 'Figuren' affected, leaves a1-B3 nearly detached, marginal insect-damage from B1-F4, browning, corner loss to Q2-R2.) Contemporary vellum (covers warped and soiled).

Note: this is the illustrated and abridged edition of what was the six volume 'The World Crisis' (3).
