A Japanese Satsuma earthenware koro, Meiji period, the shouldered circular body thickly enamelled in gosu blue, red, green and gilt with two flower baskets standing beside a meandering stream with iris and other flowers, beneath a lobed collar of chrysanthemum and scrolling tendrils, raised on three similarly decorated scroll feet, gilt two-character signature and blue Shimazu mon to base, fitted with a base metal pierced dome cover, height 12.5cm.
