Two Thai red pottery votive plaques/tablets, each of arched form and moulded in relief with a design of fifty-four small Buddhas arranged around a larger central Buddha, heights 14.2cm and 13cm. Note: for a similar example, see Item 14, Page 65 of 'Thai Ceramics, The James and Elaine Connell Collection, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco', published by Oxford University Press 1993, which attributes the plaque to Sukhothai, 14th-15th century. Provenance: local private collection.
