A large collection of Chinese Canton export mother-of-pearl gaming counters, mid-19th century, comprising forty-five large fish, sixty-six smaller fish, seventeen shaped rectangular, seventeen smaller shaped rectangular, thirteen large slender rectangular, sixty-one mid-sized slender rectangular, thirty-six small slender rectangular, twenty-two rectangular and seventy-one variously sized circular, the majority with incised decoration (very minor faults), some housed within a lacquer gaming counter box and cover with smaller interfitting boxes and covers (some faults).
