A Japanese Satsuma earthenware tripod koro and cover by Kawai, Meiji period, of squat circular form, painted and gilt with variously shaped panels of figures, flowers and landscapes, the pierced dome cover with kiku bud finial, iron red painted signature to base, height 6.2cm, together with a Satsuma vase by Koshida, painted with flowers on a pale blue ground, iron red and gilt signature to base, height 12.3cm, and a small tripod jar by Kaizan, painted and gilt with figural and landscape panels, black and gilt signature to base, height 5cm (lacking cover).
