A Japanese Totai-Shippo cloisonné pottery box and cover by Kinkozan, Meiji period, of drum form with polychrome decoration on a turquoise ground, iron red signature to base, height 7cm, together with a small group of other cloisonné pottery, late 19th century, comprising a bottle vase, height 24cm, circular jar and cover, teacup and saucer, teabowl and ovoid tea caddy with wood cover (some faults). Provenance: from the private collection of David Armitage, former conservator to the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, between 1970 and 1999.
