A group of Japanese pottery, Meiji period, including a pair of Satsuma earthenware vases, each ovoid body painted and gilt with dragon and arhats, gilt signature to base, height 15cm, a Satsuma earthenware scent bottle with silver screw cover, London 1886, height 15cm, a Satsuma figure of an immortal holding a peach, height 21cm, and two Kutani beakers (some faults).

A Chinese famille rose yellow ground porcelain vase, late 19th century, the baluster body painted with a pair of fenghuang amidst peony and leafy stems, the turquoise ground cylindrical neck filled with polychrome lotus and scrolling tendrils, height 54cm (heavily restored).

A Chinese famille verte porcelain vase, Kangxi style but late 19th century, the shouldered tapering body and flared neck painted with birds and flowers, height 45cm (restoration and drilled hole to base).

A Japanese Imari porcelain vase, Meiji period, of shouldered tapering form, painted and gilt with three panels of Buddhistic lion and flowers, height 37cm (small chip to rim), together with an Imari jar and domed cover, height 27cm.

A Chinese gilt decorated blue glazed porcelain bottle vase, 20th century, decorated with gilt foliate roundels between ruyi-head, lattice and lappet bands, unmarked, height 38cm.

A Chinese Canton export lacquer work box, early to mid-19th century, of canted corner rectangular form, the exterior gilt with birds, flowers, Buddha's hand citron and bamboo, the hinged lid revealing a compartmentalized interior above a frieze drawer, the sides fitted with a pair of brass drop handles, length 40cm (some faults). Provenance: from the estate of the late Nigel Pollitzer, adopted son of multimillionaire George Pollitzer and his wife Esme and former friend of Sarah, Duchess of York.

A Japanese export lacquer inlaid Nanban cabinet, Momoyama period (1568-1600), of rectangular form, the interior fitted with a symmetrical arrangement of eight drawers of various sizes, each front with black and gilt and finely inlaid mother-of-pearl chequer board design, concealed behind a fall flap, the front, top and sides finely worked in black and gilt and inlaid in mother-of-pearl with central panels of birds and blossoming branches, reserved against a mother-of-pearl ground, the top and front with a surround of mon, applied gilt copper locking plate, corner mounts and drop handles to sides, height 31.5cm, width 44cm, depth 30.5cm (some faults). Note: this Japanese cabinet belongs to a category of goods known as Nanban (literally 'Southern Barbarians), which were produced in the late 16th and early 17th centuries for trade with Portugal and other European countries.

A pair of Chinese blue and white porcelain beaker vases, late 19th century, each painted with figures and pavilions in a mountainous landscape, heights 24.6cm and 25cm (one with repaired damage and loss to rim).

A Japanese Satsuma earthenware koro and pierced cover, Meiji period, the globular body painted and gilt with panels of figures, butterflies and flowers, birds and landscapes, flanked by a pair of moulded lion mask and ring handles to shoulder, raised on oni mask and tongue tripod feet, height 19.7cm.

A Japanese Satsuma earthenware boy and buffalo figure group. Meiji period, modelled with a young boy wearing a floral decorated tunic and holding a book, seated on the back of a recumbent buffalo, iron red painted signature to base, height 17.2cm, length 25.5cm (horns chipped), with wood stand.

A Chinese blue and white porcelain vase and cover, mark of Kangxi but late 19th century, painted with birds, blossoming branches and flowers, underglaze blue four-character mark to base, height 27.5cm (chips to cover), together with a smaller similar blue and white vase and cover, height 21.5cm (cracked), and a Japanese Kutani circular jar and cover, Meiji period, painted with a landscape, diameter 11.2cm.

A pair of Chinese famille verte export porcelain octagonal dishes, Kangxi period, each painted with a central panel of pheasant, pine tree and flowers in a fenced garden, within a green ground border filled with fenghuang and peony, width 24cm (both repaired).

A Chinese famille rose export soft paste porcelain vase, Qianlong period, the baluster body and flared neck painted with scattered flowers within iron red and gilt borders, height 24.2cm (restoration).

A Chinese flambé glazed porcelain jar, late Qing dynasty, of stout ovoid form, covered in a blue and red streaky glaze, height 13cm (two repaired minor rim chips).

A Japanese Kobe carved wood automaton toy, early 20th century, modelled as two figures seated in a rickshaw with articulated heads and arms, height 11.5cm (minor faults).
